Needless to say, I had always thought this day to be one to remember. A day full of drinking, of partying, and hell, full of being stuck on stupid! Alas, none of these things have happened... well, maybe that's a good thing, but still this day was not as great as I thought.
You see, not only is this my 21st birthday, but it is my Golden Birthday. For those of you who don't know what that is, a Golden Birthday is when your age is the same as the day you were born. So for me, turning 21 years old on September 21 is my Golden Birthday.
Anyways, I started the day off by sleeping through my alarm clock and missing work. When I woke up I was freaked because I'm a bus aide for the city's school system, so I have to be at work around 6am every morning to help with the kids. The bus station's really strict on missing work: 3 strikes and your out(aka fired). So I called them and they said that they had someone to cover for me for the day, but I was still really worried.
Afterwards, I took a shower and was putting on my make-up when: NEWS FLASH! I was going to be late to class! So I had to hurry, all while not being able to find my books, and drive to the campus, which was on the opposite side of town. Now, I knew that we had a test over Chapter 4 in Intro to Visual Arts that day, but imagine my surprise when I was handed Chapter 5 test! Turns out we had two separate tests! Talk about bummer.
So I finally manage to finish both tests and decide to visit my old high school, which was right down the road a few blocks, but not before getting a coffee. Because as we all now, you can't get through the day without caffeine. So I'm driving over to good old Central, when I hit a bump in the road. My coffee goes all over my lap! Talk about an uncomfortable ride. And to top it off, most of the teachers weren't even there. On a plus, though, I made my principle, Mr. Smith, feel really old when I told him it was my 21st, and Ms. Voss, the music teacher, had everyone in the band talk in an English accent.
Afterwards, I decided to stop my Hastings Bookstore, which is along 10th Ave, the most traffic active area in the entire town. You have to understand that in order to get to the Hastings parking lot, you have to turn into a narrow driveway that is directly parallel from the highway. Now lots of people now that you need to slow down when you get to this area, whether or not the person in front of you has their blinkers on.
I had my blinkers on and slowed down so to make my turn, only to find some lady was coming out of the driveway as I was going in, only she was smack dab in the middle instead of the far right. To top it off, the *itch was looking down and messing around on her cell phone! I couldn't turn far enough into the driveway without hitting her car or the cars in the parking lot, so I had to slam on my brakes. Well, the car behind me ended up rear-ending me! So here I am, stuck in the middle of a busy highway, half of my car on the highway and the other half in the parking lot, pinned between a big old pick-up truck and a small turquoise car. The lady in the truck behind me is cussing and yelling, and the lady that's hogging the road is waiting for me to move! Finally the lady puts here cell away and backs up, only to drive through the back way, and the pick-up truck just drives off without another word!
Fortunately all I got was a little scuff along the plastic bumper, so nothing to worry about.
So that was the horrors of my day. The rest was pretty dull. I stayed at Hastings to work on a project for school, and then went shopping for new jeans with my mom. Afterwards we went to Chili's with my family for dinner and opened presents while we waited for our food. Had a strawberry daiquiri, which wasn't that big a deal, and then went home to type this. I got some cool presents. A peweter fairy angel, some jewelry, a Barlow Girl cd... funny thing is, everyone who gave me gift cards gave me a Hastings card. It's a joke that I live there. Oh! and my dad gave me a bottle of 2007 wine from Germany.
Overall, it was just an average day.

*Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries!*
I like that you can switch back and forth from LoSH style to anime, most people can't and don't try (they draw everything to look like anime *eye roll*) Your coloring technique is very nice, clearly you've put a lot of work into your pieces.
Your photography is actually very nice too. I'm surprised that cat let you get so close ^^. Very interesting locations. Thumbs up, nice job.

And I do put alot of work in my art. A single piece usually takes me about a week or so to finish one piece. Then again, with college classes and work, they tend to take a bit longer then that.
And as for the cat, she was really old and lazy when I took that photo. Sadly, we had to put her to sleep last October. She had diebetes, siezures, cancer in the brain and a tumor in the abdomine.
