PP_Finding My Roots

A slightly older Billy getting in touch with his native roots by dancing to the jungle's song...

This is actually two ideas I had formed into one:
1) Billy leaves the Jolly Rodger to prove that he can handle anything, and
2) Billy is the only dark skinned crewmember, which makes things difficult, seeing as the culture he was taught/semi-raised in is completely different from the other crew members' English/European culture

Solution:
Billy gets fed up with always being considered a child by the other pirates, so he leaves to Jolly Rodger to endure his " First Spiritual Journey" to prove that he is a man.

Basically, when he was little, his mother would tell him stories of the homeland and their people (he and his mother were enslaved when he was only three), who were very indigenous. According to the stories, a "Spiritual Journey" is when one leaves the village for a period of time, in order to hone their survival instincts and to enrich their connection with the spirits of the jungle.

When a boy came of age (14-16), he would endure his first Spiritual Journey, which was a sign that he was no longer a child, but a man, and ready to accept the responsibilities that came with it.

This is him dancing away as he listens to the jungle's song.
